Minor gameplay tweaks and bug fixes


This week we've mostly focused on fixing bugs in player movement. The hacky player controller that I had cobbled together during the Assembly Game Jam turned out pretty difficult to fix and had some fundamental flaws. I re-wrote the whole thing and fixed a few bugs in the process. One such bug was the player ending up inside a pile of wrecks and then awkwardly warping to the side when they tried to move.

We also added a new mechanic: when wrecks form a complete row, the row turns green and  the camera moves up. We're thinking it might be interesting if the player would constantly climb upwards in the game. So we're pursuing that and trying to make it as rewarding as possible to grow the wreck pile and move upwards.
